Racing to get the big kids!!
Usually I watch my little 3 1/2 year old godson from the time he gets off the bus at 1:15-1:30 til his mom finishes work at 4. Today was no different, except my brother & his girlfriend & thier three children came over for a little bit. When it was time to go get the bigger kids, I took my godson & my nephew who is also 3. The moment we walked out the door my nephew wanted to go get my daughter, who attends the middle school & doesn't get out for an extra 20 minutes. We began our walk through the alley, where my godson swore there was an alligator following us! They raced ahead to escape from that alligator. When we got to the school, we got my son & headed back. This time, they were in a race to get back home. So cute!! I love that age!! Learning so much & being able to express themselves so new things are a wonder to them! They are so funny & use expressions differently. I adore it!!

Completely something awesome I could do if my husband cheated!! Her husband even had the nerve to lie to her, when he simply could have confessed & apologized. Great movie!! Kept me on the edge of my seat & I had no clue what was going to happen next!

Kids Kids Kids!!!
So, my children have been earning money, a few dollars here & there for doing chores. Since we have been downed in snow, they have been shoveling the front side walk & the backyard to the gate so we can take out the trash & get to the street. Today I awoke to my son's piggy bank open with the plug out. His money was gone. He gave quite a few excuses, such as: I lost it!, I don't know where it is., I put it into the church offering. He's been spending most of his day on his bed in his room, I do not tolerate lying! Finally, he has admitted, he took it to school & paid $3 for 2 lead pencils. So, now he is grounded. More for lying than for spending the money. I just don't know how else to get him to save money for something expensive (it doesn't even have to be expensive, it can just be something he wants) rather than spending it on junk!! Ugh!! 9 year olds!! Atleast he will be 10 in a few weeks!!

Based on a very true story of West Virginia's Marshall University, this movie was very tugging on the heart. As a resident of the wonderful state of West Virginia, I was more touched than others by this movie. I loved the remaining few team members spirits, thier willingness to go on, to continue to honor thier fallen team mates, coaches & fans. I was inspired by thier spirit & very proud of my own team, WVU for thier tribute to the fallen Marshall team. Showing thier new helmets to the new coaching staff at Marshall made me sob!! I recommend this movie to anyone who is a football fan, but also those who just like a great movie!! Even though Marshall only won 9 games over the next 4 years, they worked hard & did thier best, and for that, they should all be proud! Because, I am sure thier team was watching over them with pride for continuing to do what they all loved while everyone seemed to be against them & those who weren't, had a hard time doing what they wanted.

Movie was pretty good, lots of different plot twists & turns. His brother is played by the actor who plays Casey Jones in the Ninja Turtles movies. The ending wasn't what I suspected!!

Based on Robert Venditti's graphic novel of the same name, director Jonathan Mostow's sci-fi thriller is set in a futuristic world in which humans hibernate at home while living their lives vicariously through robot surrogates. When a series of mysterious surrogate murders occurs, FBI agent Greer (Bruce Willis) ventures out into the world for the first time in years to investigate. Radha Mitchell and Ving Rhames co-star.

My thoughts:
First off, I would never want to live with a surrogate. As much as I like to be indoors at some times, like winter & rain, I would not want to give up every experience. Sure, it's less work, but then you are lazy & give up socializing & everything, no thank you!! All in all, the movie showed the up & downside of having robots. I was surprised at the ending! I tink Bruce Willis is great!!

Pretty good movie, although it was kinda confusing at times. It was hard to figure out what was going on & if it was really happening or just going on inside the man's head. The ending wasn't what I expected at all.

Christmas Fun :)
Christmas in our household was alot of fun :) After looking at the piles of things my kids got for Christmas, I decided to share some of MY favorites!!
My 12 year old daughter:
Twilight Scene It ~ Fun game, although we can not beat her at it lol
Sorry Spin ~ Such a fun variation to the regular version!
Guess Who Extra ~ Gives you lots of options, 6 different versions you can play & not get bored!
Wizards of Waverly Place Magic Ball ~ a cute variety on the magic 8 ball, especially if you are a fan of the show
Nintendo DSI w/ games ~ She got Photo Frenzy (which is hard), Imagine Sweet 16 & Cheetah Girls. Wasn't sure about this because she wanted a regular DS, but the photo program on it changed her mind! Lots of fun, many things to do & a camera too!!
My 9 1/2 year old son:
WWE wrestlers ~ The new versions are pretty sweet, do thier own moves & are more fun for kids!
Crayola Dry Erase Board ~ Came with a variety of different pages you slide inside & you can play over & over, includes tic tac toe, the line game & lots of design pages like a Wanted sign & design your own super hero! So much fun & the dry erase markers can be replaced when they run out for years of fun!
PSP w/ games ~ He got 3 games with this: WWE Smackdown vs Raw, Star Wars & Madden, perfect for boring rides or getting him to sit & settle lol
Air Jordans ~ Great shoes, he got red & black, they are pretty sweet! Wish I had $100 to buy myself some lol
Pittsburgh Steelers Stadium puzzle ~ We are planning to build this, then frame it & hang it in his room, it's great for a fan of the team!
Well, that's all I can think of, so enjoy!! And if you want, tell me some of the things your kids got that you just love!

MOVIE REVIEW ~ 7 SECONDS

My thoughts:
Alot of action in this movie! I liked that part. However, I did not like the way the storyline seemed to jump around so much, I couldn't figure most of the movie out.

TV SHOW REVIEW: THE CHALLENGE CUTTHROAT
Last week was the Finale episode of The Challenge Cutthroat.
Before I go on to give my thoughts, here's what www.mtv.com says it is:
This season, thirty fan favorites will head to the mysterious city of Prague in the Czech Republic to compete in a bold new Challenge: Cutthroat, where players will discover an exciting new game, filled with twists and surprises. For the first time ever, there will be three teams, chosen by the players themselves. These three teams will battle each other in nine extreme challenges, leading up to a massive and grueling finale. With over $500,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs, the Challengers will need to stay true to the name of the game and get cutthroat to secure their share of the prize! With a whopping thirty players competing, not everyone will make it to the end to vie for the riches. After each challenge, one man and one woman from each losing team will be sent into the "Gulag," a one-on-one battle arena that will test players' mental and physical capacities. Only the strong will survive and proudly return to the game to compete. The weak will leave with nothing. Staying out of the hellish "Gulag" means achieving victory in the challenges. After each challenge, the winning team will be safe from "The Gulag" and bank $20,000 to be shared amongst their final players. Now on to my thoughts:
I really loved this season! For one they were split up into three teams: Red, Grey & Blue. Anyone who knows me, knows I am loyal to the Blue team (former job fun lol)!! I roouted for them, down to the last two ~ which I must say, Jenn & Emily did awesome!! WTG girls!! The final challenge for the grand prize was insane!! WTG Red for winning, although in the last Gulag Paula got screwed by her team, espeically Dunbar!! Wow!! I must say though, Red team played the game right!! I hated seeing Brad & Tori win, but they worked hard in the final to get it!! Couldn't believe two members of the Grey team went to the hospital!! I think if Blue would have made better choices in the beginning, they could have dominated the other teams. Big Easy was a BEAST!! Laurel was right, Cara Maria skated by on Abram, not fair, but part of the game!! I can't wait for the next show, I'd love to see Johnny Bananas, Wes & Derrick back!!

New Tradition @ Our House!!
So, this year, we have started a new family tradition :) Every year, we watched the movie The Christmas Story! Yes, the one where he's gonna shoot his eye out! One year my husband got me the movie, then last year, he got me the board game!! How fun!! This year, we sat down, my husband, kids & myself & had dinner. When dinner was over, we tasted some Christmas goodies, then we popped in the movie & played the game! It was a tradition in my parents home to watch the 24 hours of A Christmas Story on TBS every year on Christmas eve. Now, my own little family will set up a day each season to play the game!! I can't wait for next years!

First off, just gotta say, Gerard Butler is HOT!!! Now, my thoughts lol, I really thought this was cute action/romantic comedy. Jennifer & =Gerard had some chemistry, they both kept us interested. Although some parts were kind of predictable. I enjoyed it & would watch it again!

Tis the Season :)
Tonight we headed out into the blistering cold to ring bells for The Salvation Army. We spent 3 hours of our time, giving back to the community & to the church. It was an amazing feeling :) I smiled like crazy, couldn't believe so many people were willing to put a dollar or two into the kettle. One little boy asked his dad for money to put into the kettle, but the dad kept telling him no, but that little boy was very determined, he asked over & over!! Another little boy was upset because his dad gave his older sister all his change to put in. The poor little guy!! Luckily, one quarter had not made it into the bucket, so I was able to let him put it in :) It really made his day!! One lady came back to put money in & thanked us for saying Merry Christmas & not Happy Holidays!! Even those my toes about froze off & my knees hurt afterward, I all in all had a wonderful time. The girls in my group are amazing, I love thier positive upbeat selves :) And, I'm glad I could spend a few hours tonight giving back to the church that helps me so often :)
This holiday season, give something back, even if it's just a few pennys left after you pay for your grocerys or a new toy, help make a needy child's Christmas this holiday season!! It doesn't have to be to The Salvation Army, although that's the one I hope you'll choose :), but there are other places out there who have great intentions too :) Even volunteering a few hours of your time to stand out & ring a bell does a world of goodness :)

What I thought:
I thought this movie started off very slow, not a very good horror movie. Even when it gets to the end, the drama isn't very good. I wouldn't watch it again.

Pretty good movie, I'd watch it again. Good storyline, good fight scenes, great shoot outs. All around good movie!!

When I saw that Adam Sandler was in this movie, I thought oh great, a good comedy. When I actually sat down & watched the movie, I thought it was dull & boring. Same old jokes, nothing too hilarious, not even enough to keep me awake!! I fell asleep part way through this movie!!

My thoughts:
I really enjoyed this movie although my husband thought it was more of a soul searching, evaluate your life type movie. I felt that it threw comedy together with good friendship, lots of the every day problems we all face & the importance of working things out when we get in over our heads. To trust the person we wanted to spend the rest of our life with, to call a friend when you need advice or have a problem. When you get down to the bottom of the barrel & the final over the edge happens & it's over, you see how one person really benefitted from the break up when they wanted the relationship, while the other gets what they thought they wanted & they realize it isn't as good as what they already had. I can't wait to see part 2!!
